Summit Academy Bluffdale is accepting applications for part-time Instructional Paraprofessionals.

 This position will be working closely with children in a part-time capacity.

The focus of instruction is math, but Candidates’ duties include, but are not limited to: Providing instructional, behavioral, and other support to students in and outside of the classroomAssist teachers in small groups with Language Arts, Math classes and other teaching duties as needed. 

Ability to lead small groups communicate orally and in writing; and adhere to safety practices.  

Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance to ensure a consistent focus on student learning.

Ability to administer first aid; apply assessments; prepare and maintain accurate records.

Perform other duties as assigned when needed.

Will be in outdoor weather conditions during portions of workday.

Preferred Paraprofessional skills and qualifications:

Must consent to a background check 

High school or equivalent

Candidates must meet paraprofessional standard

Excellent written and verbal communication 

Ability to assist in classroom instruction and learning

Great attention to detail.Ability to work closely with children

Excellent teamwork skills 

Ability to remain calm and patient

Knowledge of classroom subjects

Hours/Salary Part- time hours: 20-22 hours per week with additional hours Monday- Thursday 10:15 am - 3:30 pm.
