Shannon Greer currently serves as the Director of Training for the Utah Association of Public Charter Schools. She is responsible for coordinating training programs for charter school board members and school leaders across the state. She leads the implementation of the ACES program and the Preoperational Charter School Training Program, both of which support the development and success of Utah’s charter schools. Shannon also serves as the Project Director for the Utah Charter Schools Program (CSP) grant awarded in September 2024, overseeing the administration of the $44 million federal grant to promote high-quality charter school growth in Utah.
Shannon began her work with UAPCS as a board mentor, supporting charter school boards throughout the state for eight years before stepping into her current role three years ago. She has served on the George Washington Academy (GWA) school board since May 2010. Shannon earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University and previously taught in the Nebo and Tintic School Districts before relocating to St. George with her family.
In her free time, Shannon enjoys traveling with her family, time at the beach and getting lost in a good novel-it's best when she can do all three at the same time.
